TPV
TPV is the next generation of colour consistent Rubber Wetpour! Thermoplastic Vulcanised manufactured in the United Kingdom, is a proven and cost effective alternative to current granulates in the market place. This product is produced from a high quality virgin polymer which has been specifically designed with the end user in mind. It also offers much better colour consistency throughout, and superior UV stability to other products currently available. It currently comes in a range of up to 14 colours and offers both architects and installers endless possibilities for creative design when planning a wetpour safety system.
EPDM Manufactured Granules
The EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer) Rubber Wetpour is a manufactured product; as such each granule is solid in colour. This premium product is the most durable rubber wetpour installation available. One of the benefits of this surface is, as it wears the colour remains. As with any premium product, one has to be careful that cheaper imitations are not used, we use the highest quality peroxide-cured epdm available.
One of the great things about selecting EPDM is the colour range, the colours range from subtle heritage colours to the brightest colours in the rainbow allowing your imagination to run wild while planning for patterns and themes. Past Installations have included frogs, crabs, fish and other sea animals, koala's, kangaroo's, echidna's and other native animals, shapes and patterns. With the colours available the sky is the limit.
Limitations of this surface:
The polyurethane used to bind the EPDM granules is an imported UV stabilized product. There is no oxide added to the polyurethane during installation. Initially there will be surface yellowing; this is due to the polyurethane reacting to the UV in sunlight. Over time this discolouration will dissipate, and will be time dependent on the level of foot traffic and the amount of sunlight on the area. Pre-coloured Recycled Rubber Wetpour
Pre-Coated Recycled Rubber Wetpour consists of recycled rubber shred or granules. During manufacturing each piece of rubber is individually coated with coloured oxide and dried. This application is mixed with polyurethane on site. Popular colour choices are Terracotta, Light Green, Dark Green, Sky Blue, Dark Blue, Brown, and Earth Yellow.
Limitations of this surface:
Although wearing and fading of the surface colour may eventually occur, the coating of the individual granules slows the process. At any stage this surface can be refreshed by applying our Flexiguard Rubberised Paint - read more about our Flexiguard product.
Recycled Rubber Wetpour
Recycled Rubber Wetpour is the least expensive option in rubber wetpour applications, environmentally friendly it consists of recycled rubber shred or granules derived from used car tyres that are specially treated. The Rubber shred is mixed on site with polyurethane and a coloured oxide. Limited colours are available, popular colour choices are Terracotta, Green and Sky Blue. Other colours available are grey, chocolate brown, cherry and marigold yellow. Patterns and designs are achievable with this product.
Limitations of this surface:
This Rubber Surface has a tendency for the colour to wear or fade over time. Our company increases the life of your colour by adding generous amounts of quality oxide to ensure a reasonable, cost effective life span. Flexiguard Rubberise Paint
The Flexiguard finish offers extra protection to any rubber surface, by sealing the surface it restricts dirt and debris from entering the rubber shred. The surface texture is different to conventional rubber surfacing as it is smooth and non-porous. Drainage therefore must be considered when deciding to install this product. The choice of one solid colour or various colours is available with this installation, allowing for patterns and designs to be painted onto your surface. This surface is colourfast, heat reflective, UV Stabilised and extremely durable. This is a great option to re-vamp existing rubber wetpour that may have faded.
